Alex Vesia and his wife Kayla are going through something unimaginable, according to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Vesia missed the entirety of the World Series due to a "deeply personal family matter," and while there haven't been any additional details about what happened, Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts said that "heartbreaking" doesn't even cut it.
The Dodgers raised concern about missing reliever Alex Vesia and his wife Kayla but have not provided an update.
In response to the troubling news, the Dodgers bullpen has honored Vesia by writing No. 51 on their hats. During Game 6 of the World Series on Friday night, the Toronto Blue Jays bullpen was seen doing the same thing in what has been an incredible act that is bigger than baseball.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, along with players Tyler Glasnow, Will Smith and Blake Snell, joined the show’s taping to enjoy a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-themed night. Naturally, the World Series trophy came along for the ride.
The party’s over and now the Los Angeles Dodgers are turning to 2026 with designs on winning a third consecutive World Series.
