EU bloc backs 90% emissions reduction target by 2040 with concessions
European Union countries have agreed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 90% by 2040 compared to 1990 levels, including 5% that can be achieved through international offsets, Danish Climate Minister Lars Aagaard said on Wednesday.
