DeMeco Ryans vividly remembers a moment years ago while working as an assistant for coach Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco when he sat him down in his office and told him he believed he could be an NFL head coach one day.

Despite the Texans' offensive struggles, head coach DeMeco Ryans revealed he has no plans to fire offensive coordinator Nick Caley.

Though the Texans offense is a mess, head coach DeMeco Ryans isn’t pointing fingers at anyone but himself. Ryans said Tuesday, a day after a 27-19 loss to the Seahawks, that he has no plans to change offensive coordinators.

"The plan at the end of the game was kicking the ball out of bounds so we could utilize the two minute and then had a timeout," coach DeMeco Ryans said. "And we did not execute that. Again, just goes to the entire game. Frustrating that we're not executing the things that we're coached to do."

With every misfire and misstep on offense, the pressure is undoubtedly now seriously mounting on Texans embattled first-year offensive coordinator, Nick Caley. Of course, head coach DeMeco Ryans has shifted the blame upon his own shoulders. But that’s about as sound a long-term plan as the Texans have when they’re first and goal.
