Disney asked YouTube to add ABC ahead of Election Day. YouTube TV said in the past two elections, its viewers largely did not watch ABC.

The company also noted that during the last two U.S. elections, “the vast majority of tuned-in YouTube TV subscribers chose not to watch ABC,” further supporting its reasoning for not restoring the network temporarily. Simply put, the company doesn’t think it makes sense.

Disney has also been lobbying consumers to complain to YouTube TV. Even ESPN host Scott Van Pelt tweeted a link to a dedicated web page that offers various ways customers can reach the Google-owned service. Meanwhile, YouTube TV says it’s still committed to working with Disney on reaching a licensing agreement.
